4 Days Golden Triangle Tour
Day 1: after breakfast pick-up at your Delhi hotel for the drive to Agra. On the way we will make a stop at Sikandra to visit the Mosque. After check-in at the hotel sightseeing in Agra, a visit to the Red Fort. It’s a massive red-stone fort, surrounded by double walls rising over 20 m in height, containing a maze of buildings, forming a city within a city. Last visit of the day will be to the Itimad-ud-Daulah, also nicknamed the Baby Taj.
Back to your hotel in the early evening.
Day 2: in the early morning at sunrise a visit to the Taj Mahal. After that back to your hotel for breakfast and check-out.
Late morning drive to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri, a magnificent fortified ghost city. Its well-preserved palace buildings and the still-used mosque are the main points of interest.
After arrival in Jaipur check-in at your hotel.
Day 3: in the morning after breakfast a visit to Amber Fort, which is a beautiful example of Rajput architecture. You will ride up to the Fort on an elephant.
After lunch we will continue sightseeing in Jaipur and pay a visit to the Hawa Mahal, also called the Palace of the Winds, an extraordinary, pink-sandstone palace, one of Jaipur’s most distinctive landmarks. Furthermore we will take you to the City Palace, a complex of courtyards, gardens and buildings. Its museum contains a collection of royal costumes and superb shawls. In the Hall of Private Audience you will see enormous silver vessels, reputedly the largest silver objects in the world, in which the maharaja used to take holy Ganga water to England.
In the late afternoon back to your hotel.
Day 4: in the morning visits to Jaipur’s vibrant markets. Jaipur is a shopping heaven, with an amazing range of crafts. Jaipur is famous for jewelry, (semi)-precious stones, textiles and block prints.
After lunch we start for the drive back to Delhi, where your tour ends.
