Jim Corbett National Park
Jim Corbett National Park is the first and oldest National Park of
India and is famous for the richness and diversity of
its wildlife.
It is a haven for tigers
as well as its prey, which include several kinds of deer
and wild boar. Furthermore you will find sloth bear,
black bear, wild dogs and jackals, langur and rhesus
monkeys, and some smaller animals like otter, hare and
porcupine.
Leopards are mostly found in the
hilly areas of the park. Besides tigers and leopards,
the herds of elephants inhabiting Corbett NP are one of
the main attractions of the park.
An elephant safari into the
grasslands and jungle, searching for tigers or a herd of
wild elephants is the best way to see the
wildlife.
The park also offers jeep
safaris.
