10 Days Delhi-Agra-Rajasthan

Day 1: arrival in Delhi and transfer to your hotel. If time allows sightseeing in Delhi.

Day 2: after breakfast start the drive to Agra. On the way we will make a stop at Sikandra to visit the Mosque. After check-in at the hotel sightseeing in Agra, a visit to the Red For. It’s a massive redstone fort, surrounded by double walls rising over 20 m in height, containing a maze of buildings, forming a city within a city. Last visit of the day will be to the Itimad-ud-Daulah, also nicknamed the Baby Taj.

In the early evening back to your hotel.

Day 3: in the early morning at sunrise a visit to the Taj Mahal. After that back to your hotel for breakfast and check-out. Late morning drive to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri, a magnificent fortified ghost city. Its well-preserved palace buildings and the still-used mosque are the main points of interest.

After arrival in Jaipur check-in at your hotel.

Day 4: after breakfast sightseeing in Jaipur. In the morning we will visit Amber Fort, which is a beautiful example of Rajput architecture. You will ride up to the Fort on an elephant. After this we will continue sightseeing in Jaipur and pay a visit to the Hawa Mahal, also called the Palace of the Winds, an extraordinary, pink-sandstone palace, one of Jaipur’s most distinctive landmarks. Furthermore we will take you to the City Palace, a complex of courtyards, gardens and buildings. Its museum contains a collection of royal costumes and superb shawls. In the Hall of Private Audience you will see enormous silver vessels, reputedly the largest silver objects in the world. Last part of to-day’s program is a visit to Jaipur’s vibrant markets. Jaipur is a shopping heaven, with an amazing range of crafts, jewelry, (semi)-precious stones, textiles and block prints.

In the late afternoon back to your hotel.

Day 5: to-day we drive from Jaipur to Bundi, a small, not touristy town. Here we will pay a visit to the famous, impressive Bundi step-wells. We will also visit the magnificent Taragarh (Star Fort). Views over the town are magical, especially at sunset.

In the evening back to your Bundi hotel.

Day 6: after breakfast we drive to Bijaipur, a small village, and a great place to relax. Overnight in Bijaipur.

Day 7: one more day in Bijaipur. You can relax at the swimming pool of your hotel, go horse-riding, or make a jeep safari to villages nearby to see rural life.

Day 8: after breakfast we drive to Udaipur, and make a stop on the way at Chittorgarh. Chittorgarh is dotted with imposing forts and graceful palaces.

After arrival in Udaipur check-in at your hotel.

Day 9: to-day we make a sightseeing tour in Udaipur. First we visit the City Palace, a majestic architectural marvel towering over the lake on a hill surrounded by crenellated walls. Two island palaces, Jag Mandir and Jag Niwas, are breathtaking. If the water level allows, we will make a boat ride on Lake Pichola. Furthermore we will pay a visit to Saheliyon-ki-Bari, a small ornamental garden which was a popular relaxing spot where royal ladies came for a stroll.

Late afternoon back to your hotel.

Day 10: departure from Udaipur to Delhi by flight, where your tour ends.

Price: from 90,000 INR onwards for 2 persons.

Included in this tour: AC car and driver, hotels (9 nights, 3-4 star/heritage, with breakfast, double occupancy), sightseeing as mentioned, elephant ride at Amber Fort.

Excluded: lunches, dinners, entrance fees for monuments, horse-riding/jeep safari in Bijaipur and other personal expenditures.
