4 Days Jaipur Handicraft Tour
Day 1: after breakfast pick-up at your Delhi hotel for the drive to Jaipur, which will take around 6 hours. After arrival in Jaipur check-in at your hotel. At 5 pm a sunset visit to Nahargarh Fort, from where you have a beautiful view all over Jaipur.
Beginning of the evening back to your hotel.
Day 2: in the morning after breakfast a visit to Amber Fort, which is a beautiful example of Rajput architecture. You will ride up to the Fort on an elephant.
After lunch we will take you to a block printing and blue pottery workplace. Here you can see how traditional block printing is done and blue pottery is made. The demonstration and tour will take 1,5 to maximum 2 hours. A further 1,5 to 2 hours will be used to create your own craft, both in block printing and blue pottery.
The last – short – visit of to-day is to a paper factory, where you will be shown the process of handmade paper production.
From here we will drive to Choki Dhani for a magical evening. The premises look like a Rajasthan village, where you can wander around and watch various entertainment, from traditional dancing to children balancing on poles. You can also take elephant or camel rides. Dinner is included in the entrance fee.
In the late evening back to your hotel.
Day 3: after breakfast we pay a visit to a marble workplace, where you can see how marble items are made. Hereafter we will visit a few of Jaipur’s most famous sights like Hawa Mahal, also called the Palace of the Winds, an extraordinary, pink-sandstone palace, one of Jaipur’s most distinctive landmarks. Furthermore we will pay a visit to the City Palace.
After lunch our programme continues with visits to the vibrant markets of Jaipur. Jaipur is a shopping heaven, with an amazing range of crafts. Jaipur is famous for jewelry, (semi)-precious stones and textiles.
In the late afternoon back to your hotel.
Day 4: after breakfast check-out of the hotel and start the drive back to Delhi, where your tour ends.
Price: from 32,000 INR onwards (depending on the choice of your hotels) for 2 persons.
